Game volatility simply refers to the amount of risk inherent to a specific game. It is used to describe the ratio as to how often and how much you can win when playing a particular game. While volatile games can present long dry spells with occasional big wins, games which have a low volatility would have pay-outs that are frequent but on the smaller side. Everyone has their own preference, which may be one of the two or even a nice balance which lies somewhere in the middle.
